Founded in 2009, Literary Aficionado provides professionally written book reviews and articles about current literary trends. In addition to posting reviews on the Literary Aficionado website, reviews are also supplied to a growing lists of libraries, booksellers, and readers. Reviews and articles are archived on the Literary Aficionado website for a minimum of five years.
Literary Aficionado accepts published books and prepublication galleys for review. We also review e-books.
A Literary Aficionado Book Review includes a (approximately 250-350 word) review of your book. Your review will have its own unique url and include a book cover image, the book review and product details, and will be listed at literaryaficionado.com for 5 years from the review’s original publication date. Your review will be completed in 90 – 120 days.
Quality vs Quantity and Negative Reviews—Poorly edited books and negative reviews are very much a reality in the current literary marketplace. Literary Aficionado does its utmost to avoid reviewing poorly edited books and writing negative reviews. We prefer to take on books that LA reviewers feel strongly about in a positive way. We focus on quality as opposed to quantity. If you would like to have your book, or your client’s book considered for review, in the body of an email send to literaryaficionado@gmail.com the following:
- Title
- ISBN
- Publisher
- Description or Synopsis of your book.
- An eBook file of your book.
If your book is accepted for review, we will send an email with instructions for providing a review copy of your book. Once we have received your review copy and payment, your book will be assigned to one of our reviewers and your review will be completed in 90 – 120.
Once your review has been completed and published on literaryaficionado.com you are free to use the review at your discretion – for example: on the back cover of your book, in marketing material, on your blog or website . . . An announcement of your book review will also be posted to Literary Aficionado social media networks.
